Rating: 4 out of 5.

NOTE: If you haven’t read the first 5 books of this series, you really should start there. While you could technically read this as a stand-alone, it’s really not meant to be and I wouldn’t recommend it!

You read that right – there’s a new New Orleans Nocturnes book out!
If that doesn’t make you smile, you’re on the wrong blog.  🙂

This time around, everyone’s favorite succubus, Katrina, has created a dating app for the supes of New Orleans, and it’s the hottest thing around.  That is until people start canceling their subscriptions without explanation.  In the middle of panicking about it, she learns there’s a new supe in town offering classes on connecting to your partner emotionally, and he’s telling people they don’t need her app.  After she turns his next workshop into an orgy, things really start to heat up, especially since a succubus hiding from the Devil shouldn’t be calling this much attention to herself.

What I love about this book is you get to see a lot of the couples from previous books again.  Jasmine is Katrina’s best friend, so we get to see her and Asher.  Girls’ nights include Jazz and Crimson, and Mike’s restaurant is one of Katrin’s favorite eateries.  Jane and Ethan are seen, and even Sophie and Troy pop in too.  Gaston’s house is a frequent setting, so we get some great scenes with our favorite ancient vampire too.

(One of these days I hope to read a book with his HEA too!)

Katrina’s a little naive for a sex demon, and that did get on my nerves a little bit, but I loved Gabe right from the (almost) beginning.  His story tears at your heart, and you just want everything to work out for him – if he can meet Katrina halfway instead of trying to force her into his way of thinking.

The humor these books are known for is once again present, and it was a very fun read.  It took a little bit for me to really get into it, but I think that’s my own hangup on Katrina’s stubbornness.  However, as soon as things started to heat up, I was hooked and the book reeled me in until I had finished.

I always suggest reading this whole series, and I still absolutely do!  Even though you technically don’t have to read all the books in order, I’m going to tell you to do it!

Will I continue the series?
Clearly, I’m in love with this series, so, of course, I plan to read all of them that come out and will continue to review them too!

Each of the books are currently $2.99 and free if you have KU.
